Despite having directed this film as far back as 1995, Anthony Clarke does a fantastic job educating and informing us on the uses for hemp. It points out that products made from hemp such as rope, paper, and bio-fuel are not just superior to their counterparts made of other materials, but they are also better for our environment. The creators of The Hemp Revolution bring us captivating interviews with scientists, hemp farmers, and people involved with the production of hemp fiber. This film also gets into the topic of medical marijuana and America’s influence on other countries’ policies towards marijuana. There is no real focus on the recreational use of cannabis besides showing that recreational emphasis makes it more difficult for the public to understand the positive and practical uses of hemp. The Hemp Revolution will have you wondering why we are not using this plant to its full potential.
